What is your settling in process?
We want to ensure your child is happy in our setting so will work with you on helping them to adjust over a period of time. A normal settling in period would cover 6 weeks and we would work with you to tailor it to you and your child’s needs. Any settling in session under 2 hours is provided free of charge.
How does your funding work?
We are happy to accept government funded hours. Please note these cannot be used over the school holidays and can only be used between 9am and 3pm. If you require care before and after these times there is the following fee:
7.30-9 is £11
3-6 is £18
12-6 is £47
Funded children can attend during the holidays but normal daily fees will be applicable. We do also offer term time only contracts.
Do you have any animals?
We have fish on site in the baby room sensory area (Gawsworth site). We also each year hatch ducklings and chicks. If any other animals visit the nursery a full risk assessment would be in place.
How will I know what my children is doing at Nursery each day?
In the setting we always report back in person daily, but also use the app Baby’s Days in order to be as through as possible. This can be downloaded onto your phone or viewed via a computer. This tool allows us to inform you of your child’s daily activities and we also upload photographs or key moments. You’ll also see daily details on sleep, how they ate or if they’ve had an accident how it happened, what was done and if there were any injuries to name a few areas. We also track observations on your child to show continued attention to their development and educational needs and so you can easily monitor their progress. You will also find your childcare contract on here and any policies and procedures of the nursery.
What are your fees?
Our rates are as follows:
Full day - £73
Half day (4 hours) - £52
Before school- £8 (Didsbury ONLY)
After school- £16 (Didsbury ONLY)

Babysitting– please contact the setting as we can ask staff members if they can babysit. Please note this is a private transaction and the nursery is not responsible for any out of hours private service provided.

NB: These rates are subject to change, but appropriate notice will be given if this is likely to happen. We do charge for bank holidays and are closed bank holidays and the Christmas Period.

It is possible to add extra days than those you routinely are contracted for, but for us to be able to provide this you will need to give as much notice as possible. We will then try our very best to accommodate your request, but please appreciate this isn’t always possible due to legal ratios and capacity of the building.
Do you offer any extra classes?
We aim to offer a wide range of activities and have external classes come into the setting which offers a great variety of experiences and learning opportunities. We have spirit 19 yoga, Manchester City football coaching, Bobtales, Kids Lingo Spanish classes, USC dance classes, Jo-Jo’s music and lots more to extend the children’s learning further. In the holidays we also go out on trips to such places as The Whitworth, Cinema, Bowling and even have an annual trip out to the sea side to St Annes (these are chargeable).
What is your OFTSED rating?
We are Ofsted registered and were last inspected in August 2023 and proud to announce we achieved a ‘Good’ rating.
How is your food prepared?
We send out termly menus and each day we ensure that the daily intake meets the food and drink guidelines and the average energy and nutrient requirements for children age 0-5 years old. This is prepared fresh each day by an onsite chef. It is important that we follow healthy eating and it is all made on site in the setting. We can also puree food for little ones who have just started weaning. If your child has any dietary restrictions or intolerances/allergies please let us know so we can accommodate. We a have a 5 star food hygiene rating.
